After a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign back in the day (which involved some very memorable incentives*), things went a bit quiet for Stefan Sagmeister's labour of love, aka The Happy Film. For those who don't remember, the film is a fascinating feature-length documentary in which Sagmeister undergoes a series of experiments to try and find out if it’s possible for an individual to have a meaningful impact on their own happiness. It's done in typical Sagmeister style, with his heart worn well and truly on his immaculately upholstered sleeve.

The film is premiering in the UK at Sheffield Design Week (including a Q&A with the man himself), followed by a whistlestop tour around the UK, culminating with a screening in the Picture House Central in London. Screenings are as follows:

10 June – Sheffield Design Week / Made Known – Q&A Screening

12 June  – Norwich UEA / Creative Giant – Q&A Screening

13 June – West England Design Forum / Arnolfini – Q&A Screening

14 June  – Glug Brighton / Duke Of York's Cinema – Q&A Screening

15 June  – London Picturehouse Central

It's bound to be an evening to remember – we strongly advise you to grab your tickets as soon as you can. Keep an eye out on social media for details…

*Pledge $500 and Stefan will pick you up on the North East corner of Tompkins Square Park (New York City) in a 1968 Firebird Convertible (it's a rental!) and you'll drive through Manhattan in the rain playing his 10 favorite songs.  In case it does not rain he'll bring a water gun. You will be dropped off at a random street corner and he will speed away.
